How long after I stop using the birth control patch can I become pregnant?

For some women, pregnancy can happen within 7 to 14 days after stopping a hormonal birth control like the birth control patch or pills. However, some women should wait longer, according to WebMD.
Always check with your doctor when trying to conceive, as your personal history needs to be considered. WebMD advises that women who have had trouble with pregnancy in the past, including miscarriages, should wait at least a few months after stopping hormonal birth control before trying to get pregnant. However, most women can try after they finish the current cycle they are on, particularly when fertility peaks about a couple of weeks after the last menstrual cycle.
