How long do you boil corn on the cob?

Boil corn on the cob until tender or for approximately 10 minutes. Preparation time is five minutes, so the corn is ready to eat in 15 minutes.

Remove the husks and the silk from six ears of corn on the cob. Fill a large pot 3/4 of the way full with water. Heat until the water boils. Add 2 tablespoons of white sugar and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Stir until the sugar dissolves and carefully place the ears of corn into the boiling water. After covering the pot and turning down the heat, allow the corn to cook until tender.
