Refrigerated cooked shrimp lasts up to 4 days when stored in the coldest part of the refrigerator away from the door. Cooked shrimp should be completely cooled and refrigerated within 2 hours of cooking, using an airtight food storage bag or container.
Keep commercially pre-cooked and raw shrimp in the original packaging and store them separately from cooked foods to prevent cross-contamination. Fresh shrimp can also be frozen for up to 8 months when stored in airtight, freezer-safe containers or bags. Frozen, pre-cooked shrimp will last up to 12 months in the freezer. If the power goes out, shrimp should be discarded if it the refrigerator temperature exceeds 40 F for more than two hours.
