How long can you keep cooked shrimp?

Cooked shrimp can be kept for three to four days in the refrigerator. Fresh shrimp should be cooked within a day or two. Frozen raw shrimp lasts six months, but cooked shrimp should be used within two months of freezing.

To maintain the freshness of cooked shrimp, keep it in a tightly sealed bag. Uncooked shrimp should be kept on ice in the refrigerator until cooked or frozen. Both raw and cooked shrimp is okay to freeze, although raw shrimp maintains flavor better. The heads should be removed from uncooked shrimp before freezing.
