How long is a day on Venus ?
By Forinfos - 07/03/2025 - 0 comments
The length of one day on Venus is equivalent to 243 days on Earth. According to Universe Today, Venus orbits the sun in just over 224 days. This means that a single day on Venus lasts longer than its year.
Not only does Venus rotate at a much slower speed than the Earth does, but it is also spinning in a direction opposite to that of the other planets within the solar system. Astronomers hypothesize that the reason for this is a collision between Venus and a massive planetoid in the distant past that caused Venus to turn over completely so that it is now upside-down.
