Hammurabi lived between 1792 and 1750 BC. Hammurabi was known as the Babylonia king and a superior ruler for the first type of Babylonian dynasty.
Hammurabi ruled over an area known as Mesopotamia known today as Iraq. He made history by uniting nearly the entire area under a single extensive empire. He achieved this by waging many military campaigns, with the purpose of gaining control over the Euphrates and Tigris waters. Some of his other campaigns included control over the trade routes. After he was able to consolidate gains under the central Babylon government, he focused all his energies on protecting his frontiers.
