Giada De Laurentiis and Todd Thompson were legally married for 12 years, from May 2003 to September 2015. The couple separated from each other in July 2014. They announced their separation in December 2014, and their divorce was finalized Sept. 3, 2015.

Thompson and De Laurentiis have one child together, a daughter named Jade who was born March 29, 2008. Jade was named for De Laurentiis, as her first name, Giada, means "jade" in Italian. De Laurentiis has made her career as a celebrity chef on The Food Network, cookbook author and restaurateur. Thompson is a fashion designer for Anthropologie.
