How long do Lortab withdrawals last?

Lortab withdrawal symptoms typically last from a few days up to one week, and are not life threatening. The length and severity of symptoms varies among patients and includes vomiting, nausea and diarrhea, sweating, runny nose, goose bumps and agitation.

Since withdrawal occurs when the pain medication is stopped abruptly or dosage is reduced too quickly, physicians typically advise patients to taper off usage. Individuals may experience withdrawal from chronic, legitimate use or abuse of the drug.

Withdrawal symptoms may also be triggered when Lortab is taken in tandem with naloxone and other prescriptions used to reverse the effects of opioids.
