A Magic Perm is a Korean perm (also performed in Japan) that straightens hair and lasts anywhere from 4 to 6 months depending on the individual's hair. Many people are confused when they learn that this perm was developed in Korea because Koreans have such straight hair already.

However, many Korean men and women do not have straight hair and need the perm in order to get a straight look.
