How long does a monster truck show last?

A typical monster truck event like Monster Jam lasts between two and two and a half hours. This also includes an intermission. After the show, there is generally a post-show autograph session.

During the majority of Monster Jam events, spectators enjoy watching monster trucks compete in both racing and freestyle competitions. During the racing portion, monster trucks race against each other. The first truck to cross the finish line with the fewest penalties wins. The freestyle competition allows the drivers to impress audiences with their trucks' tricks, stunts and skills. Because monster truck events are loud, ear protection is recommended, especially for children.
