How long do NiCd rechargeable batteries last?
By Forinfos - 21/04/2025 - 0 comments
NiCd rechargeable batteries generally hold a charge for about 1,000 recharge cycles before they are no longer capable of holding a charge. The lifetime of NiCd batteries varies depending on how they are stored when not in use and how they are charged.
NiCd batteries should be stored in a cool, dry place when not in use. Short-term exposure to extreme cold and heat may not harm them, but prolonged exposure reduces the life expectancy. When charging NiCd batteries, they should not be overcharged or short circuited. If they begin to heat up while charging, the charging process should be stopped while the battery cools, then resumed until they are fully charged.
