How long does an obstetrician go to school?

An obstetrician typically needs at least eight years of college education and four years of residency training to get licensed. The college requirement includes a four-year bachelor's degree along with four years of medical school. In addition to grades, research experience and a satisfactory score on the Medical College Admission Test are required for medical school admission.
