The time it takes to get pregnant varies, but about 84 percent of women get pregnant within a year of regular sex without contraception, says NHS Choices. Depending on age, reproductive health, and the frequency of sex, some women get pregnant much quicker than others.
A woman between 19 and 26 years old has a 92 percent chance of getting pregnant within a year, while a woman between 35 and 39 years old has an 82 percent chance of getting pregnant within a year. Engaging in sex every two to three days also increases the chances of getting pregnant. NHS Choices recommends that women unable to get pregnant after one to two years see their doctor for advice.
