How long will rose petals stay fresh?

Rose petals will stay fresh for several days if refrigerated, until they are removed from the refrigerator and laid out for an event. Afterwards, they continue to look and feel fresh for about 24 to 48 hours. They should be received no more than 2 days prior to an event, or else they may start to wilt and fade.

If they are purchased as part of a bouquet of fresh roses, they can last up to 2 weeks with proper care. To sustain a bouquet so that fresh rose petals can be used, the bouquet must remain hydrated and kept in a cool and ventilated area.
