Suzuki has been making motorcycles for about 63 years, as of 2015. The Power Free was the first motorized bicycle the company built, and it was designed to require minimal maintenance.
The Power Free used a 36cc, two-stroke engine that was attached to the frame of the bicycle. Riders of the Power Free had the option to pedal without engine assistance, with engine assistance or to ride under the engine's power alone.
Suzuki first introduced a four-stroke engine in 1976. In the same year, the United States saw the GSX-R750 model. In 1978, the company's first literbike was introduced. To some, this model was thought to be the most important new motorcycle in 10 years.
