The shelf life of refrigerated tomato juice when opened is between 5 and 7 days. This type of juice should not be left out at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
Tomato juice can last up to a year in the freezer when stored in an air-tight container. When freezing this type of juice, it is important that at least half an inch is left in the container to allow for expansion when frozen.
Unopened tomato juice has a shelf life of 2 to 3 months if stored properly. If the juice has a strong and foul smell or has changed in color, it is advised that it be discarded.
