It can take as long as nine and a half years to get to Uranus, according to Cool Cosmos. The Voyager 2, launched on Aug. 20, 1977, arrived at Uranus on Jan. 24, 1986. Astronomy Cafe reports that it can take between 113 days and 7.3 years to reach Uranus.

Cool Cosmos states that the duration of the travel depends on the chosen path and the orbital position of both planets at the start of the trip. Space.com adds that there are between 1.98 billion and 1.6 billion miles between the two planets, depending on their locations. The duration of the travel depends on the acceleration technology of spacecraft employed, according to Astronomy Cafe.
