How long does a wheel alignment take on a car?
By Forinfos - 28/05/2026 - 0 comments
A wheel alignment on a passenger car takes about one hour, according to Precision Alignment & Tire, Inc. Once the alignment is completed, it should last from 10,000 to 15,000 miles, unless the car gets thrown out of alignment again due to hitting bumps or potholes.
Though potholes are the primary cause of cars going out of alignment, loose steering or worn suspension parts may also contribute to alignment problems. Have the steering and suspension checked on a regular basis to prevent having to perform another wheel alignment before 15,000 miles.
A car that is seriously out of alignment can experience unnecessary wear and tear on the tires, which can be expensive to replace.
