How long does the World of Warcraft demo last?

As of 2015, World of Warcraft does not have a demo version. However, a Starter Edition is available to play for free. The Starter Edition allows users to level up their characters to level 20 and does not have an end time.

In the Starter Edition, users can earn gold in the game for their characters. However, users have a limit of only 10 pieces of gold per character. Users cannot mail or trade items to other characters in the game when using the Starter Edition. Existing users whose full-edition subscriptions run out can utilize the World of Warcraft Starter Edition.
