Is the lost city of Atlantis real?
By Forinfos - 17/01/2026 - 0 comments
Several theories explain the existence of Atlantis but none has ever been verified, so the story of the lost city of Atlantis is still classified as a legend, as of 2015. Plato, a Greek philosopher and writer, first mentioned Atlantis in one of his fictional stories in 355 B.C.
Even if the origin of the Atlantis myth is fictional and dates back to ancient Greece, some people believe there could be an element of truth behind this legend, and that the story of the city's fall may have been based on a real geographical place. Although many theories have arisen throughout history, there is still no proof that Atlantis ever existed.
