What is Mac X11?
By Forinfos - 12/04/2026 - 0 comments
The Mac X11 allows programs that were made for the X11 windowing system to be run on the OS X instead of with Quartz. It gives Mac users the ability to run apps for the system both remotely and locally as long as the remote machine has all the files the application needs to run.
When a user runs an application on a remote device, it can be viewed locally as long as all the required files are on the remote machine. If the files are not on the machine that the apps arerun on, then they will not function correctly.
