The main rivers of France are the Loire, Rhone, Seine, Dordogne and the Gironde. The river Seine is the most well-known as it flows through Paris. The Loire is the longest river at 625 miles, and the Rhone is the largest in terms of water volume flowing through it.
The Loire originates in the Massif Central region of France, and its mouth lies in the Bay of Biscay. It flows through some of the best vineyards in France. The Rhone has its source in the Alps and flows past famous French cities of Lyon, Avignon and Arles. The Seine is 480 miles long. It flows through the Normandy region of France and empties into the English Channel.
