To make artichoke dip in a slow cooker such as a Crock-Pot, blend spinach, artichoke hearts, Alfredo sauce, mayonnaise, cheese and spices and cook them for up to 4 hours. Serve the mixture on sliced baguettes or in a sourdough bread bowl.
Crock-Pot Artichoke Dip Recipe
This recipe was originally published on the Betty Crocker website. It is easy to prepare and makes a flavorful dip for parties.
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 4 hours
Ready in: 4 hours and 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1, 9-ounce box of frozen spinach
- 1, 14-ounce can of artichoke hearts
- 1/2 cup Alfredo pasta sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 3/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 baguette or round loaf of sourdough bread
- Mix the ingredients
- Cook the dip
- Prepare the bread
Mix all of the ingredients except for the bread in the Crock-Pot bowl.
Turn on the heat to low and cook the dip for 2 to 4 hours.
Slice the baguette or prepare the bread bowl. To make a sourdough bread bowl, cut the top off of the loaf and set it aside. Hollow out the rest of the loaf and cut the extra bread into chunks. Spoon the dip into the bowl and cover it with the top of the loaf.
