How do you make a balloon sword?

To make a basic balloon sword, make a basic twist 5 inches from the bottom of the balloon, and then make two consecutive fold twists 3 inches from each previous twist. This project can easily be completed in less than a minute.

1. Inflate the balloon

   Leaving a 1-inch tip, inflate a twisting balloon, and tie off the end.

2. Make a basic twist

   Grab the tied end of the balloon in one hand, and with the other hand, twist the balloon 5 inches from the bottom. Do not let go of the basic twist, as it can unwind.

3. Make a fold twist

   Fold the balloon 3 inches above the twist. At the basic twist, twist the two parts of the balloon together. The first and second twists are now secured together. You do not have to hold the twist in place.

4. Make a second fold twist

   Fold the balloon 3 inches above the twist. Twist the two parts of the balloon together at the previous twist.

5. Finish the handle and the hand guard

   The twists create the handle and the hand guard portions of the sword. For the handle, straighten the tied end of the balloon so that it aligns with the rest of the sword. To create the hand guard, straighten the folded portions away from the sword.
