How do you make a flower out of paper?

Make a flower out of paper by folding cupcake liners into quarters, attaching them together with glue, then adding the button center and pipe cleaner stem. The project is a relatively simple one and only takes a few minutes to complete. It requires colored cupcake liners, pipe cleaners, buttons, a glue stick and a hot glue gun.

1. Fold the cupcake liners

   Get eight cupcake liners. Fold each liner in half, and in half again so that each liner is in fourths. Then, fold one end back to the center fold, and fold the other end back to the center fold. Each cupcake liner should form an M-shape.

2. Glue the liners together

   Rub the end of a glue stick on the tip of one flap of one liner. Press the tip of another liner to the glued side so that the tips of the two liners are together. Hold the two liners together until the glue dries. Repeat the process until all the cupcake liners are attached to each other in a circle. These are the petals of the flower.

3. Add the center

   Add the center of the flower by hot gluing a button to the middle where all the liner tips meet.

4. Add the stem

   Turn the flower over. Hot glue a pipe cleaner to the back of the flower for the stem.
