According to the most recent data there are approximately 101 men for every 100 women. Though this ratio varies from one country to the next, the world's gender ratio is fairly close.
In raw numbers, this works out to approximately 3.488 billion men and 3.439 billion women. It might seem like a large gap when looked at as a factor of total individuals, but in all it is a difference of less than 1 percent, which is not statistically significant from a math perspective. The most lopsided countries are Qatar, with women making up only 23.5 percent of its population and Curacao, where 54.5 percent of the total population is female.
