When is mango season?
By Forinfos - 07/10/2025 - 0 comments
Mango season happens twice a year in tropical climates, in the spring and fall or in the summer and winter. Because different countries harvest mangoes at different months within the year, they are available year-round.
Since mangoes require a tropical climate to grow, production in the United States is limited to California, Hawaii and Florida. Most of the mangoes consumed in the United States come from Mexico, Peru, Ecuador and Brazil. Over 70 percent of the total mango volume shipped to the United States occurs in spring and summer, mostly between April and July.
Six varieties of mangoes are commonly available in supermarkets, and each has a slightly different flavor and texture.
