What is mango wood?

Mango wood is considered extremely environmentally friendly. Mango is typically produced on mango plantations, and the trees are only harvested for wood after there is no longer any fruit production. Fruit production stops at roughly 20 years of age, and the harvested trees are immediately replanted. Mango wood is susceptible to fungal and insect attack, and can cause skin irritation.
