Who manufactures LG appliances?

LG appliances are manufactured by LG Electronics, a company founded in South Korea in 1958. As of 2015, the company is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, but it ships appliances and household devices to locations worldwide.

In the early 1960s, LG Electronics produced South Korea's first radios, TVs, refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners. As of 2015, it is the world's largest second-largest manufacturer of LCD TVs and the third-largest supplier of mobile phones. In the late 1990s, LG was instrumental in developing the world's first smart appliances: refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and microwaves with internal sensors that monitor and automatically adjust the appliance's functions.
