Cutting Edge Industries manufactures the Stiffel lamps as of 2014. The original Stiffel Lamp Company was bought by Salton, Inc., but it was acquired by CEI in 2013 in an attempt to return the brand to its former glory.

Ted Stiffel founded the first Stiffel company in Chicago in 1932. According to the Stiffel Company, Ted Stiffel was known for his innovative, unique and intelligent lamp designs. Some of his most popular works were the patented Stiffel Switch and the pole floor lamp. Cutting Edge Industries has managed to salvage original lamp molds and designs and, as of 2014, manufacturers new Stiffel lamps in its factory in Linden, N.J.
