How many amps does a stove use?
By Forinfos - 01/06/2025 - 0 comments
Stoves, on average, have a 40 or 50 amperage requirement. The exact amperage is dependant on the make and model of the stove. Before installing the stove look at the model plate, located on the back of the stove, and find the kilowatt/amp requirement stamped there.
Use caution if the stove has lots of extra features as it may have a higher amperage need. It is necessary to know local electrical building codes for the area where the appliance will be installed to avoid building code violations. If unsure always check with a licensed electrician or the location where the appliance was purchased.
