How many books are in the Inspector Gamache series?

There are nine books in the Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series. The first book, "Still Life," was published in 2005. As of March 2015, the most recent book is "How the Light Gets In," published in 2013.

The second book in the series, "A Fatal Grace" (also published as "Dead Cold"), was published in 2007. "The Cruelest Month" was published in 2008, and two other books were published in 2009: "The Murder Stone," also known as "The Rule Against Murder," and "The Brutal Telling." "Bury Your Dead" and "Hangman" were both published in 2010, "A Trick of the Light" in 2011, and "The Beautiful Mystery" in 2012.
