How many Cadet Girl Scout badges are there?

As of 2014, Cadette Girl Scouts can earn 28 different National Proficiency Badges. Many of these badges are grouped into Skill-Building Badge Sets. Cadettes can also create their own badges, of which they are allowed to earn one per year.

Cadettes are Girl Scouts in the sixth, seventh or eighth grade. At the Cadette level, the National Proficiency Badges are diamond-shaped. Many of these badges cover traditional activities for the organization, such as the First Aid badge and the Girl Scout Way badge. However, Cadettes can also earn National Proficiency Badges in subjects that include budgeting, digital movie production, marketing, entrepreneurism, screenwriting and etiquette.
