Where do Scout badges go?

Placement of Scout badges differs for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. When starting out, Boy Scouts have two choices where to place their badges. Up to six merit badges are allowed on the uniform's right shirtsleeve. Badges are also permitted on the front of a merit badge sash.
Once seven merit badges have been earned, a Boy Scout must place all badges on the sash. The shirt sleeve is no longer an option.
Badges for the youngest Girl Scouts, Daisies, are placed at the bottom of the uniform vest or tunic. For older Girl Scouts, ranging from Brownies to Ambassadors, badges may be attached to the lower end of the vest or badge sash.
