What merit badges are required for Eagle Scout rank?

As of 2015, a total of 21 merit badges are required for an Eagle Scout rank, including first aid, citizenship in the community, personal fitness, emergency preparedness and environmental science. Other required merit badges include personal management, camping, communications and family life.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank that a Boy Scout can achieve. In addition to earning numerous merit badges, Eagle Scout rank achievement requires the candidate to be active in his troop and team for at least six months after achieving the Life Scout rank, and he must demonstrate that he adheres to the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
