As of 2015, the default "Minecraft" game does not have capes and cloaks available for players to decorate their player avatar. Capes and cloaks are available on certain types of modded "Minecraft" servers and include various types, such as animal-themed capes, flag capes and video game capes.

"Minecraft" players looking to add capes and cloaks to their games can download a variety of user-generated capes from Minecraft Capes. The website also offers an iOS application called Minecraft Skins Pro that allows mobile players of "Minecraft" to create their own custom player avatar skins or build and add capes into their game.
