How many carbohydrates are in cucumbers?

A medium cucumber contains 9 grams of carbohydrates, including the peel. Without the peel, it contains 4 grams of carbohydrates. Although they are low in carbohydrates and general nutrients, cucumbers are refreshing due to their high water content.

Other carbohydrate counts for different cucumber items include 4 grams of carbohydrates for 4 ounces of cucumber slices with the peel and 2 grams of carbohydrates for 4 ounces of cucumber slices without the peel. The glycemic load of cucumber is estimated to be 1 for 1/2 cup of sliced cucumber, 1 for 4 ounces of cucumber and 3 for one medium cucumber.
