How many cities in China have over a million people?

Statistics from a 2011 United Nations report indicated that 45 Chinese cities had populations of more than one million as of 2010, according to NationsOnline. The five most populated cities were Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Chongqing.
The report stated that Shanghai's population was expected to grow by nearly 3.5 million people by 2015, reaching a figure of 23 million. Beijing's population was expected to reach just over 18 million by 2015, growing by three million in five years. According to The World Bank, data gathered between 2009 and 2013 shows that 52 percent of the total Chinese population lives in urban areas.
