How many Egyptian pyramids are still standing today?

Over 100 pyramids exist in Egypt today, the Pyramids of Giza being the most famous. The exact number of pyramids is not available due to many of them being relatively unknown.

Only a small percentage of the pyramids left in Egypt are near the city of Cairo and the Nile Delta. Many of the smaller pyramids in existence have been neglected and are just now being identified and cared for by archaeologists. The most famous pyramid and the largest of the Pyramids of Giza is The Great Pyramid, which stands at 481 feet and is the only surviving member of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
