How many faces does a cylinder have?

A cylinder has three faces or individual surfaces. It is a tube-shaped object that is solid on both ends, rather than hollow. It has one face on each end of the cylinder and a third face that wraps continuously around its shaft.
Each individual surface of a three-dimensional object is considered a face. Faces are separated by edges. A cube has six faces, and a pyramid has four. While the individual surfaces on cubes and pyramids are easy to count because they are flat, faces are not always flat surfaces. They can also be curved, like the third face on a cylinder. Similarly, a cone has two faces and one edge, and a ball has only one face and no edges.
