How many hospitals are there in Europe?

The number of available hospital beds in European countries dropped by 2 percent every year from 2000 to 2010, with the exception of Greece and Turkey. This number is important because it is indicative of the amount of resources that are available to hospitals and medical centers for treatment of inpatient patients.
