How many hours does a nurse practitioner work?
By Forinfos - 27/04/2025 - 0 comments
A nurse practitioner typically does not work a set amount of hours, and the hours depend on the field. For example, the difference in the number of hours between a 24-hour care facility and a mental facility may be staggering.
Because a nurse practitioner's job is more advanced than that of an RN, a practitioner may also have on-call hours in addition to the regular hours performed each week. In some settings, nurses and nurse practitioners may work three 12-hour shifts at intervals, providing themselves a near-equivalent of a 40-hour work week. Additionally, many nurse practitioners work overtime as well.
