How many lobes does a frog liver have?

A frog's liver consists of three lobes: the right lobe, left anterior lobe and left posterior lobe. It is the largest organ inside the frog's body cavity. Although it secrets bile, a digestive juice, the liver is not the body's primary digestive organ.

This bile is necessary in order for the frog's body to digest fats properly. The liver is located right below the frog's heart, a triangular structure that contains two ventricles and is responsible for pumping blood throughout the body. Other important organs inside the frog's body cavity are the lungs, gall bladder, stomach, small and large intestines and spleen.
