For the 2015 Escape SE/Titanium models with the 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 engine, the Ford website quotes a fuel economy figure of 22 miles per gallon in the city. The website also says the vehicle gets 30 miles per gallon on the highway.

Many factors can affect the fuel economy of a car. Driving at 60 mph rather than 70 mph can save between 2 to 4 miles per gallon. Hard acceleration reduces the fuel economy of a car. Cars are designed to be as aerodynamic as possible to decrease fuel consumption, so driving with the windows open can affect the air flow over the car and increase fuel consumption.
