How many Nascar wrecks have there been this season?

As of December 2015, the Nascar Sprint Cup Series has experienced 72 crashes. Although no fatalities have resulted from wrecks in the 2015 season, several drivers have sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The most notable wreck of 2015 occurred at the Coke Zero 400 on June 1 when racer Dillon Austin and his vehicle were flung up against the guard rail. Such an accident was unsurprising, due to the wet conditions and limited visibility that occurred during the rain-delayed night race. Although there were no major injuries sustained, Austin as well as over a dozen spectators were treated for wounds sustained from the collision.
