According to Statistic Brain, the tattoo industry sees $1.65 billion in profit annually. There are 21,000 open tattoo parlors throughout the United States, and the average cost of a tattoo is $150 per hour. Although tattoos have become a popular trend, 17 percent of Americans feel some regret after getting a tattoo, and 11 percent are getting or have had one removed.
