How many questions can you get wrong on the ServSafe test before failing it?

As of 2015, test takers must score get at least 60 of the 80 questions right on the ServSafe exam to pass. This gives the test taker a score of 75 percent, which is passing. The test has a total of 90 questions, but only 80 of them count; the remaining 10 questions are for research purposes and don't factor into the score.

Test takers who pass the test receive a certificate to show that they passed along with an analysis of their scores. Those who do not pass will only receive an analysis. The certificate is presented by the instructor who administered the test.
