How many rings does Mars have?

Mars does not have any rings. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are the only planets in our solar system known to feature rings. Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars have no rings.
Scientists believe that a planet forms rings when its gravity pulls loose particles into its orbit. These particles may be the result of collisions by other planetary bodies either with or near the planet, or a collection of naturally emitted ice and dust particles. The lack of rings around Mars indicates that neither of these conditions occurred in its history. However, Mars could develop rings in the distant future, possibly when its moon, Phobos, collides with the planet as predicted.
