How many seasons of "Longmire" have been produced?

As of October 2015, four seasons of the television series "Longmire" have been released. The A&E network produced the first three seasons, and Netflix picked the show up for a fourth.

"Longmire" is a crime drama based on the novels by Craig Johnson set in rural Wyoming. The main character is Absaroka County's Sheriff Longmire, played by Robert Taylor. The show received good ratings, but A&E cancelled it in a surprise move by the network following the season three finale. Netflix picked up the show and shot a 10-installment season four, bringing the total number of episodes to 43. Season four answered the questions left by the previous season's cliffhanger.
