Lead actress Nina Dobrev left the show following its sixth season. Over its first six seasons, the series won 28 Teen Choice Awards. Nina Dobrev won eight of the 28 awards during her time with the show. She won Choice TV Actress for a fantasy or Sci-Fi series six years in a row.
